about us

Our vision is to breathe the youth back into the Redlands through our thriving music, arts and entertainment underground. With these pipelines running full and strong, we want to bring it out into the light. We feel there is an over-whelming need for local support and spread of word about the home-grown talent and going-ons within the Redlands and its surrounding cities. Because for freak’s sake, we got some epic flair in this little shire of ours!!

By keeping you in the loop with images from the heartbeat of our local talent, reviews, local band profiles and upcoming events, there’ll be no more yawning at the ABBA tribute band ads in our local papers. LittleRedBook is a blog site run by two, young, like-minded Redlands gals, who have an equal interest in getting the word out and exposing this seemingly shadowed youth driven arts scene.

With digital media behind her and armed with a camera as weapon of choice, Kayla’s photos will feed your visual hunger, while Zara’s journalism and music degree will satisfy your word cravings. We will get down and dirty to bring you a first hand experience of the gigs, exhibitions and events we check out. With mud on our faces, scratches on our knees and using seedy public amenities, you will get the most in your face, as if you were there moshing along with us, experience. Behind the scenes and close up encounters may be also acquired as a treat. Just please appreciate the fact, that we may go to any lengths to get it!

By young people reporting for young people, we hope to get the Redlands out of this music, arts and entertainment dark ages. So if you’re a local artist, a musician, band, or have something interesting to share, get in touch and we can put you on the radar.

*We are currently having issues with the images looking as dirty as the ground so Kayla sold her Subaru for parts, the only means of transport she has had for the last three years of her student life. She just purchased a Speedlite and other accessories, which will step the image quality up greatly in the future!! By supporting our blog you’ll be sure to witness the increase in image quality and limitations be forgotten at your local events. So subscribe (RSS) to our blog, leave us comments, connect with us on Facebook and get in contact with us about upcoming events and/or stories.
